Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) supplements the Terms of Service and governs your use of the Gramlens website and Chrome browser extension (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

If there is a conflict between this AUP and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall prevail unless this AUP expressly provides otherwise.

2. Permitted Use

You may use Gramlens for the following purposes:

  • Personal, non-commercial analysis of publicly available Instagram data
  • Exporting your own follower and following lists for personal review
  • Comparing accounts over time to track changes
  • Legitimate business use (e.g., managing your own brand’s social media presence) in compliance with applicable laws

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using the Service:

  • Automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction beyond what the Service provides through its intended interface
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing data obtained through the Service for commercial gain
  • Using the Service to harass, stalk, intimidate, or monitor individuals without their consent
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service
  • Circumventing or attempting to bypass rate limits, technical restrictions, or access controls built into the Service
  • Using data obtained through the Service to create or operate a competing product or service
  • Processing personal data obtained through the Service in violation of applicable privacy laws, including GDPR and other data protection regulations
  • Impersonating another person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Creating or maintaining multiple accounts to circumvent Free plan limitations, evade account suspension or termination, or otherwise abuse the Service

4. Instagram Terms Compliance

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Gramlens complies with Instagram’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. Gramlens is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always remain compatible with Instagram’s platform. Changes to Instagram’s policies or technical infrastructure may affect the availability or functionality of the Service.

The User acknowledges that they have access to the Instagram platform and is responsible for maintaining such access throughout the use of the Service.

5. Rate Limits & Technical Restrictions

The Service includes built-in rate limits and technical restrictions designed to ensure stability and compliance. You must not:

  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with these limitations
  • Use automated tools, scripts, or bots alongside the Service to amplify data collection
  • Make excessive requests that may degrade the Service for other users

6. Data Usage & Privacy

Data exported through Gramlens may contain personally identifiable information (PII) protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws. As the user who exports this data, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that your handling and storage of exported data complies with all applicable privacy laws
  • Not using exported data to send unsolicited communications or spam
  • Honoring data subject access and deletion requests related to the data you have exported
  • Implementing appropriate security measures to protect exported data from unauthorized access

7. Consequences of Violation

Violations of this AUP may result in enforcement actions at our discretion, including but not limited to:

  • A written warning
  • Temporary suspension of your account
  • Permanent termination of your account and access to the Service

If your account is terminated due to a violation of this AUP, you are not entitled to a refund. See our Refund Policy for details.

8. Reporting Violations

If you believe that another user is violating this AUP, please report the activity to support@gramlens.pro. We will review all reports and take appropriate action.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
